Fintech,
with a wink.
A launch film for PassTo — Qatar's peer-to-peer money-transfer app — written to do what every fintech has to do (explain the product in 60 seconds) without sounding like every other fintech.
The brief
When PassTo launched, the brief was everyday-fintech: explain P2P transfer, drive app downloads. The twist was tone. The founders wanted a product that felt like a friend, not a bank, and they wanted the launch film to sound that way.
We wrote for personality first. Character-led moments, cheeky icons, confident pacing. One 60-second master cut for app stores and Instagram, plus platform-trimmed versions for TikTok and LinkedIn.
How we worked
01 — Voice before visuals
Wrote the script out loud before drawing anything. If it didn't sound like a friend saying it, it didn't go in.
02 — Character-led
Designed a small cast so every abstract money flow had a hand, a phone, a recipient.
03 — Snappy cadence
One beat per second. No screen lingers past a heartbeat.
04 — Bilingual at script stage
AR and EN versions scripted in parallel, voiced by different actors, matched in rhythm.
